CCCW Barrier Islands Shoreline Restoration 2023

In 2023, RCRS launched a shoreline clean-up project on the Barrier Islands. In partnership with the Ka:'yu:'k't'h'/Che:k:tles7et'h' First Nations and the Ocean Legacy Foundation, and funded by the Clean Coast Clean Waters (CCCW) initiative, our team cleaned 4.2 km of coastline resulting in the removal of 5,055 kg of debris from the Barrier Islands shoreline and creation of 22 jobs.
