CCCW Salish Sea Shoreline Restoration 2023

In 2023, RCRS partnered with the Snuneymuxw First Nation, the Lyackson First Nation, and the Cowichan Tribes to execute a marine debris removal project along the eastern side of central Vancouver Island, creating 19 jobs. Funded by the Clean Coast Clean Waters (CCCW) initiative, a total of 113 km of shoreline was cleaned with 11,980 kg of debris removed from Vancouver Island's beaches.

We are grateful to the Snuneymuxw First Nation, Lyackson First Nation, and the Cowichan Tribes for their warm welcome into their territories and collaboration.
