RCRS crew are highly trained and experienced in conducting projects in remote coastal environments.


  • Shoreline Restoration

    In partnership with First Nations, RCRS staff have been conducting remote shoreline clean-ups for the past three years and are proficient at planning and implementing marine restoration projects in a safe and effective manner.

  • Underwater Restoration

    RCRS has access to a three-person WCB commercial dive team with expertise in vehicle, vessel, and underwater debris recovery. In addition, the RCRS landing craft is equipped with a 2500 lbs crane and 2000 lbs electric winch with 100ft of cable.

  • Marine Transportation

    RCRS has four commercial vessels ranging from 22ft to 33ft with commercially certified operators capable of transporting large quantities of debris, gear, material and crew.

  • Mapping & Assessment

    RCRS has been mapping marine debris on the west coast of Vancouver Island since 2017 with in-house GIS expertise, a videographer with drone and visional mapping expertise, a submersible drone and drop camera and dive capabilities for locating and mapping underwater debris.

  • Project Management

    We have experienced project managers with extensive backgrounds in remote coastal restoration, sustainable energy development, biological assessment, pile driving/ marine construction and remote wilderness guiding, underwater ghost gear removal, and derelict vessel removals.

  • Crew

    RCRS has a core field crew of 10 capable people including Coordinators, Supervisors, Field Techs, and First Aid Attendants. We also have access to an additional 25 people if the project requires. All of our crew are trained and experienced in remote coastal safe work practices, project implementation and cultural awareness.

    RCRS has large social media presents focused on educating the public on the issues of marine environmental concerns, the action being taken and ways people can help.
