Container Ship Debris Data Collection 2022-2024

RCRS has been working with Fisheries and Oceans Canada to develop and manage a database tracking container ship spill debris along the BC coast. Our team created survey methodologies and data collection protocols for ongoing container ship spill surveys and a georeferenced catalog of debris on the west coast of Vancouver Island, the central and north coasts and Haida Gwaii.
