CCCW Chatham Sound Shoreline Restoration 2023

In 2023, RCRS launched a shoreline clean-up project in Chatham Sound, on the north coast of BC. In partnership with the Metlakatla First Nation and the Lax Kw’alaams Band and funded by the Clean Coast Clean Waters (CCCW) initiative, our team cleaned 90 km of coastline resulting in the removal of 14,251 kg of debris from the north coast shoreline while creating 29 new jobs.

We are grateful to the Metlakatla First Nation and the Lax Kw’alaams Band for their hard work and collaboration.
