The third not-so-annual Party for the Ocean presented by Rugged Coast Research Society, Island Surf Co., Osprey Electric and Longwood Brewery is a live music event with the purpose of raising funds for Ocean conservation in BC. Due to COVID this event has not run since 2020.

This year we are raising funds to continue shoreline cleanup efforts on Brooks Peninsula on Vancouver Island. A protected ecological reserve, the diversity of the ecosystem around Brooks Peninsula is thriving everywhere you look. Unfortunately, due to the peninsula's orientation to the Pacific Oceans currents, it is also one of the highest accumulation areas of marine debris on the coast.

Rugged Coast cleaned about 25% of the peninsula in 2021 and now it's time to go back and continue the task. Our fundraising goal for this event is $150,000, which would pay for 40-50km of shoreline to be cleaned.

There will be alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, pizza and an amazing silent auction filled with prizes from local artists, resorts and businesses from all over Vancouver Island.
